The 2025 Family Santa Fun Run in Haworth Park!

The 2025 Family Santa Fun Run in Haworth Park!

The Rotary Club of Keighley will be staging a Family Santa Fun Run in Haworth Central Park on Sunday, November 30th.

The Keighley club, who now delivers Rotary activities in both the town and Worth Valley, has taken over the staging of the Fun Run following the closure of the Haworth & Worth Valley Club in March.

Once again the five-kilometre course will be staged with ten laps around the Park’s footpaths.

The event is aimed at delivering an energetic start to the Christmas period for all the family and Liz Joyce, the President of the Rotary Club of Keighley said: “The Family Santa Fun Run was gradually growing in popularity under the stewardship of the Haworth and Worth Valley Club, so we wanted to make the most of that legacy.

“Once again we shall be working in partnership with Haworth Bowling Club. The Fun Run headquarters and refreshments will be based in their headquarters within the park and we’re really grateful for their continuing support.”.

And for the 2025 Fun Run every runner will be given a free Santa Claus hat to wear while jogging round the park.

Added Liz: “We’re conscious that this is not an easy time for many families and, while we’ll be delighted if people run in their own Santa suits, we wanted everybody to be able to join in the fun by wearing a hat!”

Rather than asking people to seek sponsorship, this year the Rotarians will be hoping to attract donations both before and after the run. Any funds raised will be directed towards supporting the club’s projects in the community, including the projected next round of the Community Grants Scheme.
