This is the first set of awards that have been undertaken by the Rotary Club of Keighley since they took over the Community Grant Scheme that had been launched by the Rotary Club of Haworth & Worth Valley which ceased operations on March 31st.

Liz Joyce, who started her tenure as President of the Rotary Club of Keighley in July (pictured above), said: “We’re delighted that we’ve been able to continue with the Community Grant Scheme as it enables us to assist other groups within Keighley and the Worth Valley region to continue with their wonderful projects.”

Nicholas Oughtibridge, chairman of the former Rotary Club of Haworth & Worth Valley’s Charitable Trust, added: “This is part of the legacy of the Haworth & Worth Valley’s 25-year service to the Worth Valley communities, and it’s been encouraging to receive high-quality applications from the wider Keighley area.”
