About our club

The Rotary Club of Keighley Club was formed in 1933 while the the Rotary Club Haworth & Worth Valley club started life in 1999. In March 2025 the two clubs united working under the banner of ‘Delivering Rotary in Keighley and the Worth Valley.’ Currently there are two meetings a week: a lunch-time group who gather at Central Hall, Alice Street, Keighley BD21 3JD on Monday lunchtimes (12.45hrs until 14.oohrs/ 2.00pm) while a project-led group meet at the Old Hall Inn, Haworth BD22 8BP on three Tuesdays a month (18.30hrs/ 6.30pm) until 19.30hrs/ 7.30pm). The lunchtime meeting will offer an established Rotary format of a meal, establish community projects and invited speakers, while the Project group will focus on delivering key projects within the community. Rotary in Keighley and the Worth Valley has been a proven contributor to local, national and international communities and our members are local people who want to contribute to our community and build long-lasting friendships along the way.

About Keighley and the Worth Valley

The West Yorkshire town of Keighley is a key centre of population and business within the Aire Valley. A former mill town, it is now a centre of medium sized businesses and high-end engineering which is connected to the rest of Yorkshire by good rail and road links. The Worth Valley features some large, growing villages foremost of which is Haworth, which was the home of the world famous authoresses, the Bronte sisters. Now one of England’s leading literary destinations Haworth’s steep Main Street is often used for world-class cycling road races while the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is one of the UK’s leading heritage operations. The newly-shaped Rotary Club of Keighley welcomes visitors and if you’d like to attend one of our meetings please drop a message to the Club Secretary via this site’s contact page. Visiting our corner of West Yorkshire is a rewarding experience and you can increase that enjoyment by coming to one of our club meetings.
